Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

·         Develop environment impact assessment reports for the cement plant.

·         Conduct public hearings for new and expansion projects.

·         Design and execute implementation plan for expansion and renewal projects.

·         Coordinate with the corporate sustainability team for sustainability reports and audits.

·         Update environmental data in the sustainability software.

·         File applications and coordinate with government bodies for environment clearances, consents, and authorizations.

·         Obtain NOCs, consents, and authorizations for new units and renewals.

·         Submit statutory and compliance reports to government bodies regularly.

·         Monitor and review environmental parameters and pollution control equipment.

·         Ensure the proper functioning of the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS).

·         Review EC and consent conditions and address any gaps.

·         Ensure compliance with environmental rules, policies, and government directions.

·         Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on environment targets.

·         Ensure compliance during environment audits and government visits.

·         Conduct regular environmental audits and address abnormalities.

·         Coordinate with the legal cell for compliance updates.

·         Develop and manage the environment department's budget.

·         Maintain good relations with government officials, consultants, auditors, and local communities.

·         Ensure zero penalties and compliance with safety standards.

·         Educate the team about job hazards and safety measures.

·         Conduct scheduled safety observation rounds and report incidents.

·         Conduct daily toolbox talks and participate in safety training and events.

·         Ensure good housekeeping and report abnormalities.

·         Implement improvement projects to reduce problems and losses.

·         Submit Kaizen and other improvement suggestions.

·         Develop and sustain model areas in sections.

·         Participate in KFA and GRT meetings for technology and productivity improvements.

·         Ensure implementation of SOPs for critical spares and consumables.

·         Identify and rectify leakage and unsafe points, and monitor emission levels
