Job description:

Key responsibilities:

·         Sampling and Testing: Monitor daily sampling and sample preparation of incoming, in-process, and finished products, ensuring conformity with standards.

·         Equipment Maintenance: Check X-ray analyser, maintain spare parts of test equipment, and monitor coal ash, moisture analyser, and auto sampler.

·         Quality Assurance: Ensure calibration of test equipment, maintenance of chemical stores inventory, and conformity of test results with statutory requirements and internal specifications.

·         Process Improvement: Implement NCB & CR&D findings, track quality data, find deviations in test results, and normalize deviations promptly.

·         Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with safety standards, coordinate activities during official visits, and take corrective actions as needed.

·         Product Changeovers: Minimize product changeovers to ensure product quality, as per marketing and availability requirements.

·         Customer Complaints: Attend to customer complaints, analyze market samples, and ensure sampling and testing as per guidelines.

·         Safety and Compliance: Build adherence to safety standards among the team, conduct safety rounds, and participate in safety events and training.

·         Operational Efficiency: Ensure no waste of resources, conduct audits for timely action, and create awareness about sustainability initiatives.

·         Process Optimization: Plan and execute ABOEF process activities for internal customer satisfaction, review procedures for continuous improvement, and lead in implementing good practices.

·         Training and Development: Assign multiskilling tasks, ensure team attends desired training, and empower them for independent action and development.

·         Communication and Engagement: Maintain transparent communication, prepare action plans based on team feedback, and ensure discipline and grievance resolution.

·         Project Leadership: Involve the team in projects for unit, business, or group-level performance improvement.
