Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

·         Plan Maintenance Activities: Develop and plan maintenance activities, coordinating them during shutdowns.

·         Monitor Preventive Maintenance: Monitor the preventive maintenance schedule for implementation and review weekly/major shutdown plans.

·         Manage Breakdowns: Analyze major breakdowns and plan corrective actions, interacting with OEMs/Consultants for typical plant maintenance problems.

·         Manpower Coordination: Facilitate and organize required manpower, recommending contract labor for major jobs.

·         Vendor Development: Develop vendors for import substitution and monitor inventory reduction, standardization, and optimization.

·         Cost Optimization: Carry out life/value analysis of breakdowns and high-value spares, identifying and tracking key value drivers for maintenance cost reduction.

·         Lubrication Optimization: Optimize lubrication consumption and identify cost-effective alternate lubricants.

·         Budgeting and Monitoring: Prepare and monitor the maintenance department's budget, controlling the utilization of contract manpower and overtime.

·         Continuous Improvement: Drive maintenance strategy, autonomous maintenance, and process improvement to enhance performance and productivity.

·         Safety and Compliance: Ensure 100% implementation of safety standards, adherence to IMS and other standards, and mentoring team for safety and compliance.

·         Team Development: Develop the team for multiskilling, set SMART goals, and encourage them for improvement projects and Kaizen initiatives.

·         Communication and Engagement: Maintain regular communication, transparency, and engagement within the team, encouraging a participative culture.

·         Employee Development: Identify common training needs and recommend internal or external training for skill and productivity improvement.

·         Safety Standards: Implement safety standards and progressive consequence management, ensuring a strong safety culture and timely reporting of incidents or accidents.

·         Environment and Sustainability: Create awareness about health, safety, and environmental aspects, motivating the team for sustainable initiatives.

·         Audit Compliance: Ensure timely compliance with audit findings and recommendations, adhering to all safety precautions on and off-site.
