About the platform

Our Global Digital Health & Connected Experience Platform offers a unified solution for all of our Digital Health Mobile Applications and Mobile Applications with physical Connected Devices. It is our Global solution for Mobile Health Software comprising of composable frontend and backend components and services. By eliminating silos, it consolidates tools and services under a one comprehensive framework, ensuring seamless maintainability and service continuity. Built on a component-based software architecture, the platform supports modular and reusable elements for both mobile and hybrid solutions. A robust backend infrastructure guarantees high performance, driving consistency across applications. This unified approach enhances collaboration, efficiency, and innovation throughout the organisation, delivering a cohesive and scalable solution for all products.

What you will do

As a Mobile Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of high-quality mobile solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security while leveraging cutting edge cloud computing technologies. You will work across iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and hybrid technologies such as React Native, providing a versatile approach to solving mobile challenges. You will architect systems with a focus on continuous integrating and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and adopt DevOps practices to ensure rapid, yet reliable, deployment. You will work closely with teams to implement seamless UI/UX, while supporting internationalization (i18n) and localization (i10n) efforts. As a mentor and leader, you will guide engineers on software design principles, data structures, and best practices, fostering a collaborative environment for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture and design of mobile applications for iOS, Android, and hybrid platforms such as React Native.

Implement scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile solutions using best practices in DevOps and cloud computing technologies.

Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps to enable fast and reliable releases.

Ensure code quality and stability through rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end (EE) testing.

Collaborate with UI/UX teams to deliver intuitive and accessible mobile experiences.

Drive internationalization (i18n) and localization (110n) efforts for mobile apps to ensure global reach.

Leverage design patterns and best practices to create modular, reusable, and maintainable code.

Integrate native modules with React Native and manage the architecture of hybrid applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and product managers, to deliver seamless mobile experiences.

Mentor and guide mobile engineers on best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in mobile technologies, cloud solutions, and security practices to continuously improve our platform.

Nice to Haves

Experience with CMS integrations for mobile apps (e.g., Contentful, Strapi).

Familiarity with mobile-specific DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise).

Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization techniques.

Knowledge of advanced data structures and algorithms for mobile systems.

Working experience in the fields of Software as a Medical Device.

Expertise in integrating mobile apps with cloud services and APIs.

Strong grasp of algorithm concepts and data structures to solve mobile-specific challenges

What we are looking for:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile application development and architecture.

Strong expertise in iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development, with experience in hybrid solutions such as React Native.

Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and react-native framework.

Proven experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps for mobile applications.

Excellent understanding of mobile security, performance, and scalability.

Solid knowledge of UI/UX design principles, internationalization (I18n) and localization (i10n).

Proficiency in software design patterns and data structures.

Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with experience mentoring engineers.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
