Role & responsibilities
Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, and daily standup.
Create a forum for discussing vision, goals, and Product Backlog items amongst the team.
Identify, manage, and help mitigate issues and risks, with particular emphasis on timely removal of impediments for the team and/or directing obstacles to appropriate owners for quick resolution.
Ensure that proper documentation (i.e., program vision statement, program backlog, program roadmap, release plan, sprint backlog, and increments) is prioritized and added to the teams backlog of work.
Report on the teams sprint cadence, velocity and burn down chart against the overall plan and remaining backlog.
Compliance with SLF policies and procedures for delivery and implementation
Ensure the cross functional team are working collaboratively and cohesively across all disciplines product, design, engineering, testing to deliver upon the product vision in a timely and high quality.
Coach the development team and help lead and ensure the agile mindset is fully adopted and understood.
Assess and coach the team to higher levels of performance, focus, commitment, respect, and openness while tracking acceleration metrics.
Facilitate efforts with the support and implementation teams on how to integrate agile methodologies into a Waterfall environment.
Encourage an environment of open communication and collaborative problem solving and where the impact of mistakes can be minimized through early detection as well as making them into learning opportunities.
Drive adoption of Scrum / Agile methodologies for outlining and delivering key objectives and influence stakeholders from a project, product, and cultural perspective.
Train & hands-on demonstrate Agile concepts & use of artifacts such as user stories, impact maps, story maps, big visible charts, planning, estimation, governance sessions, etc.
Builds a high performing team managing intrapersonal conflicts.
Preferred candidate profile
Scrum Master with 8-11 years of experience, driving the scrum process including helping the team focus on daily Sprint goals.
3+ years of experience in project management / people management is an asset.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to work effectively in a changing environment balancing operations and project delivery.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to effectively address any issues in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems; ability to develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate.
Exposure in handling more than one agile team is preferred.
Ability to report on the teams progress using agile methodology.
Well versed in navigating complex organizational structures and capability to develop productive working relationships with internal stakeholders across the region and globally
Exposure to modern technologies and methodologies like Agile, Mobile, APIs, DevOps, Salesforce etc.
