About this role

We are seeking a Engineer III SPEC ui/ux , Design System to join our Verizon Value Design System team. This role will be responsible for crafting a design system that powers multiple brands, multiple channel experiences in the Verizon Value portfolio. 

The Engineer III, Design System will code and create the visual front-end elements of the design system component library, documentation, and usage guidelines within the Verizon Value Design System. What you’ll be doing…

Creating patterns for the Verizon Value Design System to create a consistent user experience

Thoroughly exploring, refining and documenting the development solutions

Actively exploring user context, and engage in target user activities when possible

Participating in insight-gathering activities (informal or formal, primary or secondary) and create solutions that leverage user insights

Actively research competitive products, industry trends, and topics, and recommend activities, solutions, and methods to guide team members and stakeholders

Staying updated on Verizon's business, strategy, and organizational structure

Effectively design solutions within Verizon's business context and revenue model

Maintaining a working knowledge of UI standards for common platforms (iOS, Android, Web).

Working within Verizon Value’s front-end and back-end technology constraints and capabilities.

Giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Communicating the current project plan, goals, and expected outcomes.

 

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Experience with Agile software delivery environments.

Experience with common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.).

Experience with UI Architecture, Responsive design, SPA, and/or Design Patterns.

Experience front-end technologies of React JS and TypeScript.

Experience writing code and maintainable software.

Experience with web performance, web accessibility, release cycle management, CI/CD pipeline, and/or SDLC Process.
