GBS stands for Global Business Systems. Global Business Systems works with teams across all divisions of Springer Nature to implement and manage business critical systems and services. These systems and services provided by Global Business Systems support and integrate with technology platforms used by all parts of the business.GBS involves few important teams like SAP, Salesforce, Basis, QA, BI and App Factory.

 

SAP stands for Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing. SAP is a widely acclaimed ERP package used in large or medium size enterprises to integrate the processes across various functions such as Sales, Purchase, Finance and HR etc. The key business functions includes: All customer orders created for books, journals, digital content and open access to customer payments (receivables), other purchases and payments (payables) and all other financial transactions are carried out by users across the globe in SAP. In a nutshell, the SAP system in Springer Nature is a central system which is connected to other springer applications and all direct and indirect transactions are being handled in SAP. For example, Books purchased by customers on link.springer.com and springer.com have a customer order created in SAP. When it comes to IT, the backbone for our company is an SAP enterprise resource planning system that incorporates the key business functions of the whole organization.

 

A CRM solution is a tech platform aiding Springer Nature in efficiently managing customer interactions across their lifecycle. It encompasses tools for comprehensive customer data tracking with 360° view, sales along with renewals, marketing for effective campaigning and service processes, fostering robust relationships for growth and satisfaction. We opt for top solutions like Salesforce Sales Cloud, HubSpot, CDP & GCP etc. to avoid platform dependency and ensure best-in-class tools.

 

SAP BI provides self-service data visualization and predictive analytics for large volumes of data available in SAP systems SAP-ECC, SAP-S/4HANA and SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) is an integration platform which provides seamless integration between SAP, non-SAP systems and even to 3rd party systems.

 

App Factory Team mainly involves Full-stack & UI developers to design, develop and provide non-SAP solutions to satisfy business requests - Integrate into commercial products like SAP, Salesforce etc. Here at Springer Nature Pune, a team of around 90 people are providing services to Springer Nature business in different areas namely:

 

SAP Technical - ABAP/4, ABAP HANA, UI5, FIORI

SAP Functional - SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP FI/CO (Finance and Controlling), SAP MM (Materials Management), Ariba, SAP PS (Project System)

Business Intelligence - SAP BI, GBQ

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - Salesforce Sales Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud (SMC), SAP CRM on-premise, Hubspot, CRM Data Engineering.

App Factory - VueJS, NodeJS, MySQL

SAP BASIS - System Administration & Security

 

USP of SAP team: We deliver global solutions using cutting edge technology from SAP and offer innovative solutions to Springer Nature business across geographies. Handle small and medium large projects in with Agile methodology to cater to business needs and requirement of Springer Nature business and processes in SAP ECC, PI, CRM, BI, SD, FICO and BASIS areas.

 

About the Role

We have 90+ colleagues in the GBS team and the CRM team consists of 25 people including technical, functional & techno-functional skill sets. The global setup of the team and the organization, our complex system and environment and its variety are giving a chance to further develop yourself while working with team members around the globe, international stakeholders & partners and architecturing complex business requirements . 

 

We are looking for a senior salesforce developer who is basically open minded and self-organized about the assigned tasks or projects. Should be highly motivated and take ownership of design, implementation and deployment to next salesforce system in a pipeline using CI/ CD DevOps tool (Copado).

 

Technologies you will be working with -

Cloud Platforms - Salesforce.com, force.com, Github

Salesforce Applications - CPQ+, Copado, DocuSign, SKYVVA

UI - Lightning Experience (LEX)

Programming - Apex, AURA, Lightning Web Components (LWC)

DB - SOQL/SOSL

Methodology - Agile, Lean/SCRUM, KANBAN

 

Role Responsibilities

Configuration & maintenance of Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ+ solutions

Leads and influences technical direction for large-scale, highly complex technical Salesforce platform initiatives and/or projects requiring integration of cross-functional systems

Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, and data integrity

Suggest innovative ideas over new Salesforce features & functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements

Keep up to date with the business domain and work closely with business stakeholders

 

 

What you will be doing

 

Within 3 Months you will:

Get familiar with our salesforce technology stack and instances.

Get familiar with and take part in the team’s agile processes and ceremonies.

Understand business processes and follow best practices set for the development team.

Be able to solve small requirements with little guidance from team members.

 

By 3-6 months you will:

Be an active member of development/support projects.

Be able to properly understand and discuss business requirements with stakeholders & product owners.

Review existing documentation and provide feedback.

Pair up in weekly deployment activities.

 

 By 6-12 months you will:

Handle complex salesforce developments independently and propose solutions in design sessions.

Transform high level requirements into actionable work.

Refactor the existing developments whenever you see scope for improvement.

Spare 10% of your time and focus on innovative topics apart from assigned tasks.

Take part in the recruiting process helping assess applicants.

 

About You

7-10 years of experience with hands-on technical development/programming

Certifications Preferred - Administrator, Advanced Admin, Sales Cloud, App Builder, Development I/II, Salesforce CPQ+, Copado

In-depth understanding of SFDC Profiles/Roles and Sharing Rules, Validation Rules, Tasks, Process Builder, Flow Designer and Triggers, etc.

Solid experience in Aura Lightning Component and LWC

Solid experience in developing Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages and Lightning components.

Sound implementation experience of APEX enterprise patterns and antipatterns (fflib)

Apex & VisualForce Development/SFDC Configuration/Force.com Customisation Experience using Apex Data Loader utility.

Experience with Lightning components and Lightning Design System

Implementation experience and advanced knowledge of all aspects of Salesforce & CPQ+

A natural communicator who knows how to translate between business requests into

Good team player & excellent problem solving skills

Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills#LI-HD1
