Job description:

Specialist is responsible for Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solution using  SQL / SSIS/ Snowflake /Power BI. This position requires advanced technical expertise with SSIS,  Power BI , SQL and  Snowflake tools as well as a passion for innovating business processes. The analyst must be comfortable coordinating directly with clients, business stakeholders, and R1 product deployment teams to complete new data acquisition and data pipelines. This position is also responsible for solving data quality related issues and guiding other analysts to formulate and implement appropriate courses of action. This person must be an expert software developer and data analyst who will lead collaboration with other analysts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of project completion.

Snowflake Development

Database Design and Development: Create and maintain SQL Server Queries, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.

ETL Processes: Design, develop, and manage ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to acquire and prepare data from various sources.

Data Transformation: Build data transformations with SSIS, ensuring accurate and efficient data movement.

Performance Tuning: Debug and optimize SQL queries and SSIS packages to enhance performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with database administrators, business analysts, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless data integration and flow.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, ETL processes, and data mappings.

Key duties & responsibilities:  

SSIS Development

Power BI Performance tuning, modeling, and optimization

Ability to look at various data load options and suggest an optimal way of proceeding

Excellent understanding of tools functions, limitations, and hidden features

Capacity estimation and administration

Component with power BI Desktop, Gateway, service, and report server.

Design, document and develop complex MS Power Platform (Power BI, Power APPs, etc.) solutions

Stay up to data on all new power BI features and functionalization and find ways to introduce them to the organization.

Data profiling, and data warehousing and Data lakes (preferable on snowflake)

Knowledge in Agile Software development

TSQL, SQL – database modeling, design, testing implementations and integration

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong planning and organization skills

Excellent team player, ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership

Certified in power BI is an added advantage

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / B.Tech/B.E/MCA

Minimum 6 - 7 years’ experience. 

5+ years of data analysis and SQL and SSIS Development experience is required 

Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail 

Excellent communications and strong commitment for delivering the highest level of service 

Ability to communicate with technical and business resources at many levels in a manner that supports progress and success. 

Technical Skills  -

Expert knowledge of SQL  Server Development 

Expert knowledge of SSIS  Development 

Experience with cloud-based data systems such as Snowflake or Databricks 

Experience with on-prem data systems such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL 

Experience with data integration tools such as SSIS, ADF, or Talend 

Experience with programming languages such as Python or .NET
