This position has an important role in coordinating with internal teams and thus ensure identified/quantified risks and captured value of wind power projects are timely delivered to respective internal teams. This is your opportunity to work with a global specialist who will offer industry recognized training and technology within a flexible working environment. You will be responsible for Wind & Site supporting phases in sales process. Your focus will be supporting the sales business units by ensuring correct and timely support during tenders and auctions by early engagement. Plan and set project deliverables and time lines for team members. Ensure that the deliverables are with required quality. The main location is in Chennai, India.

Job description:

Responsibilities

Optimize/review the innovative design of Wind Power Plants, load analysis and best in class wind resource assessments

Preparing both internal and external reports

Review reports delivered from the team and participate in stakeholder meetings. Work with regional teams to ensure early-stage planning 

Submit proposals for tools/process enrichments to stay ahead in the market

Specialist research / advice on complex technical issues

Interface with the Corporate R&D department; Product Managers and Load Managers 

Develop team competencies by mentoring and training of wind and site team

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering

3-10 years of experience with background in wind resource assessment- sales support

Fluent and clear in written and spoken English

Expertise with industry specific software applications such as WAsP, windPRO, openwind, Wind Farmer and Flex5. Experience in Python

Experience with IEC 61400-12-1 standard and completion of power performance testing

Good communication skills and experience working with wind turbine manufacturers, consultants or developers 

This position will assist in shaping strategic direction for Wind and Site engineering. Position will assist in developing tools & processes for a complex and frequently changing technical environment. This position must remain proactive and alert to the changing elements related to this complex field.

Proven leadership skills

Ability to travel in support of customer needs and overall business objectives
