Vestas Power Solutions is the R&D function of Vestas. Through innovation, development, and continuous improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. Within Vestas Power Solution business unit, the department Control Hardware Module is responsible for the design and development of Low Voltage control panels and the control system across various sections of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware module is inclusive of several submodules explicit to each section of Wind Turbine.
You will be part of the Module Tech Lead and Integration group, responsible for delivering the complete Low voltage Electrical package, which includes design and development of LV control panels, Cables, Electronics and Sensors used on different applications/sections across the Wind Turbine. You will be deeply involved in the process of Modular Architecture development together with Technical Management in both Internal and cross function modules. You will be involved in creation of modular design requirements and solutions by using System Engineering techniques and Simulations to build the new wind turbines smarter, efficient, and more robust, thereby shaping the future of renewable energy.
Responsibilities
You will be taking End to End ownership of delivering the Low Voltage Electrical package [from concept to final product validation] in the project according to Vestas execution model
You will be the primary point of contact to handle and drive the technical solution across the modules and product leads, having a close collaboration with Tech management and Submodule TLs in the project
You will be one of the key stakeholders involved in Level B and Level C planning in the module supporting the Project Manager and Submodule Tech leads
Responsible for finalizing Module Design requirements, Space claims, Interfaces and Change management
Responsible to prepare and mature the module level Design description, Verification plan and procedures, Risk assessments and Cost overview throughout the entire gate model of the project
Assist and provide technical expertise to the submodules by Identifying and managing risk and dependencies
Take ownership of technical issues, continues follow up on solutions and ensure the implementation through process to maintain loss production factor within the limit
Support manufacturing on prototype build and timely action on addressing the design corrections and updates to ensure the smooth transition of the components entering to 0-series in time
Participate on Integration test, component validations and maintain close interaction with commissioning team
You build and maintain relations with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain, keeping your project team motivated and your stakeholders supportive
Facilitate the lesson learned to report the potential improvements back into the team/module
Identify, develop, and validate the technical/process improvements as part of continuous improvement process
