Job description:

Applications, Controls & Electrical (ACE) is a part of Vestas Power Solutions, which is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. Applications, Controls & Electrical (ACE) is developing the brain of the turbine and Control Hardware is the nervous system of the turbine that ensure control and communication of the turbines and parks.

Responsibilities

One point of contact for Service and Maintenance in Control Hardware 

Operational readiness for Control Hardware regarding service and maintenance in the value chain

Service and maintenance roadmaps for Control Hardware

Ensuring service and maintenance improvements for Control Hardware

Qualifications

Master's / Bachelor's in Electrical / Mechanical / Structural / Similar specialization

Previous experience within service and maintenance (Erecting of wind turbines)

Minimum 3 years' experience with a larger organization dealing with complex products

Design and development of innovative electrical and mechanical systems

Cost management experience is desirable

Good business and value chain understanding

Knowledge of system engineering tools like DFMEA, HSE assessments, requirement specifications etc

Competencies

Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow

Can develop innovative solutions to the questions we face when performing analyses, up to and including development or introduction of new tools or processes into our workflow

Have a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to

Model new and change existing CAD models

Model new and change existing electrical models

Efficiently communicate with engineering teams

Additionally, we expect that you

Have the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleagues

Are committed to encouraging the innovative in Wind Turbine technology

Have good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing)

Have a good sense of humor

It is an added value if you have

Experience with Creo and PDM Link and Jira

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum)

Project Management or business education/experience

Experience within large corporate organizations
