Wipro’s support networks, career building conversations, leadership programs, mentorship and sponsorship programs provide women associates with the resources and guidance they need to thrive in their roles. Some highlights of last year include: At 18.7%, women’s representation at senior leadership levels has surged 2.5X over the last three years Following the successful graduation of two cohorts from Enrich, their high-potential women leaders' sponsorship program, participation in next cohort has doubled. Return-to-work rate and retention rate of women post-maternity is at 99%.
Wipro Launched: § e-Learning modules on ‘Managing Maternity at the Workplace’ one for women associates proceeding for or, returning from maternity leave and another for managers to facilitate an enabling ecosystem and smooth transition post return to work § Dashboard which provides summarized analytics with key metrics including skills, roles, billability status and related details of women associates before / after maternity leave helping support in redeployment into meaningful roles.
Last year, Wipro achieved several significant milestones in its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. The company recorded an inclusion score of 87% in its recent Employee Engagement Survey, reflecting ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. There is a community of over 1,600 associates with disabilities and chronic medical conditions, along with more than 350 primary caregivers of dependents with disabilities, who voluntarily self-identified.
Additionally, over 1,600 associates from the LGBTQ+ community also self-identified. Wipro revised its policies and systems related to reasonable accommodations and self-identification. Enhanced benefits now include medical insurance coverage for children on the autism spectrum in India. The company addressed over 1,200 reasonable adjustments requests and 200 accessibility-related requests.
The Wipro DEI Council signed a joint statement for IDAHOBIT 2023, reaffirming its commitment to a respectful workplace culture. An e-module for championing LGBTQ+ inclusion was introduced, and pronouns were enabled in email signatures and internal platforms to ensure respectful communication.
