Infosys' IamtheFuture and Orbit Next programs provide targeted developmental support to approximately 2,000 women, significantly enhancing their representation in executive leadership roles.
The TechCohere initiative, now in its third year, focuses on nurturing technology experts, featuring over 100 sessions conducted by women tech professionals, which accounts for nearly 25% of all technology sessions held. More than 40 women have been recognized with Quarterly Technology Awards, and nine white papers have been published.
The Quarterly Women In Technology (WIT) weeks create a platform for female tech speakers. Additionally, Infosys' return-to-work policies following maternity leave have successfully encouraged many women to rejoin the workforce. The Restart with Infosys program targets women on career breaks, facilitating their return to corporate roles. With a range of policies supporting flexible, remote, and hybrid work options, Infosys is committed to meeting the needs of women in the workforce.
Building cultures of inclusion and belonging through learning and allyship is a priority at Infosys. The company has established a dedicated learning channel on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within its Lex platform. This channel offers a wide range of learning modules, certifications, and experience-sharing opportunities, including human libraries, blogs, and leadership talks. In fiscal 2024, Infosys introduced a quarterly DEI Ally award to recognize and promote allyship among employees.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a crucial role in fostering inclusion within the workplace. Beyond leadership commitment and policy, these groups enhance employees’ experiences by promoting interaction and support among colleagues. Infosys has nine ERGs focused on various diverse communities, helping to strengthen micro-ecosystems of inclusion.
For employees with disabilities, Infosys has implemented focused hiring and retention efforts that have yielded positive results. The Infosys Accessibility Living Lab serves as a unique space where individuals can experience digital accessibility firsthand. Through simulated interactions and real-world scenarios, the lab fosters empathy and awareness regarding accessibility challenges. It also introduces users to assistive technology and facilitates the development of digitally accessible solutions. The lab features the Infosys Accessibility Platform, an AI-first, cloud-ready solution designed to identify and rectify accessibility gaps. This platform is utilized by clients, including Indian government agencies and US-based financial firms, to enhance the accessibility of their digital content.
In fiscal 2024, Infosys introduced microlessons aimed at educating employees about various disabilities and strategies for creating a barrier-free workplace. Additionally, the company offers an advanced medical insurance policy that covers psychiatric and psychosomatic disorders for employees and their dependents.
Infosys is also committed to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. As a signatory to the UN Free and Equal initiative, the company aims to foster an inclusive workplace for LGBTQ+ individuals. Three learning modules have been curated under the “Ally for Change” program to enhance awareness and education within the organization. In fiscal 2024, Infosys launched the use of pronouns in Microsoft Office 365 and introduced courses focused on the inclusion of transgender individuals in the workforce. Inclusive restrooms have been established in all company buildings across India, and the advanced medical insurance plan includes coverage for same-sex partners and gender confirmation surgeries.
Infosys actively celebrates significant milestones and shares personal stories through human libraries and blogs, contributing to greater inclusion for LGBTQIA+ community members. Through these initiatives, Infosys demonstrates its commitment to creating a workplace where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
