Ingram Micro India has implemented several initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The Career Circle Roadshow was organized in collaboration with the Recruitment Process Outsourcing team to attract diverse talent, featuring leaders and hiring managers to inspire associates with the theme “Turn your Dream into Reality.”
Their Campus to Corporate hiring program successfully focused on recruiting female graduates, achieving 50 female hires out of 83 freshers by targeting female-centric educational institutions.
Through the Women WIZARD initiative, in association with NASSCOM, Ingram Micro aims to prepare women for future technologies, enhancing their technical capabilities across various job roles.
Additionally, the Employee Resource Group fosters inclusivity by providing a platform for women associates to share ideas, support each other, and promote professional development, creating a community that champions women's success in the workplace.
Last year, Ingram Micro committed to increasing its gender ratio by 4 to 8% and successfully achieved this goal. The company has created opportunities for women to rebuild their careers and introduced various referral and bonus schemes during Pride Month to raise awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
The overwhelming response led to the identification of ambassadors to foster a mental shift and drive DEI from within the organization. Ingram Micro encourages all associates to bring their authentic selves to work.
The company has established partnerships with organizations to identify suitable roles, resulting in a diverse pool of candidates, including Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and transgender individuals. Recognizing the challenges in building a diverse workforce, Ingram Micro has initiated programs to address unconscious bias and enhance access to DEI tools. These efforts are aimed at ensuring successful hires and fostering an inclusive workplace in 2023.
