Moving Beyond the "Mommy Track"

The challenge of women returning to work after a career break, particularly due to maternity is very significant. Being "mommy tracked" is one of the worst to happen preventing women from achieving career progression. Upon returning from mat leave, they are often treated differently and are assigned with lesser responsibilities due to the misconception that they prioritize family over work and hence cannot perform effectively at work. While prioritizing family is not a bad thing, the impact that it has on women's career and penalizing them for becoming mothers is a critical issue that requires immediate attention.

The Rise of the Power Middle

Mid-career women are the backbone of organizations – redefining leadership, influence, and career growth. And, today’s workforce, mid-career roles are predominantly occupied by Gen Z women. Often overlooked in corporate strategies, these women are not just climbing the ladder but reshaping it entirely. This session explores how mid-career women how they can harness their expertise, navigate workplace dynamics, and pave their careers.
