DEI Intention – Titan Company Ltd
Our culture aligns its value to the Tata Code of Conduct. The Code, even before it was presented as a written document had naturally considered Equal Opportunity and Dignity and Respect amongst other guidelines as important aspects for a successful business. In fact, it will not be wrong to assume that some of the early labour laws were inspired by this intention of the Tata’s towards business.
In our 30 + years, Titan has built a foundation by increasing our gender representation across managerial levels, strengthening diversity, enabling processes and building a culture of inclusivity. With a renewed focus and the insights that work teams with better women representation bring high value to organizations- we are committed to increasing the number of women in leadership roles in the next 2-3 years But this is not the only reason for Titan to focus on this aspect of increasing gender representation in a planned manner over the next few years. The purpose behind taking this step was that we thought it was innately the right thing to do.?But we do not settle here. Titan is striving to continue improving women's representation and create a culture where we make sure women receive all the required support from the organization at various life stages with flexible and supportive policies, talent acquisition initiatives, Employer branding initiatives to promote the brand, planned interventions for women employees to negotiate career movements, and an aware and conscious leadership that keeps the finger on the pulse of keeping DEI alive and throbbing.”
This will be followed by focussed approach to other aspects of inclusion – gender, age, regionality, PwD etc in a phased manner to ensure we continue doing the right thing.
