Maternity Leave Policy : Gradual Return to Work Policy: Verizon India is in adherence with the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 & its amendments. To provide further support to our women employees, Verizon India introduced Gradual Return to Work policy which became effective in 2015. The policy focuses at providing a flexible return to work option for the new mothers. A new mother can avail this flexible return to work option post the mandated maternity leave. This policy provides an additional flexible work arrangement for the women employees post their maternity leave.
Mystical Motherhood Policy : Is a fully-funded prenatal and postnatal care service that can be availed by V Teamers or their spouses at no extra cost. Launching of this 12 month virtual program during the Covid 19 pandemic was one of the best benefits that an expecting/ new mother could avail through Verizon India as it provides solutions ranging from seeking medical advice in the prenatal period virtually to getting day-to-day tips on infant-care by experts. Amenities for expectant and new mothers include a private lactation room, dedicated parking, and footrests and back cushions for their comfort and convenience.
Anti-Discrimination and Prevention of Harassment Policy : As an organization, Verizon has zero tolerance to any kind of discrimination & harassment. Sensitization and awareness - mandatory training as a part of an induction program. In our endeavor to create a safe and harassment-free workplace we have this also covered in our Code of Conduct and ensure adherence to it.
